From this goober’s press release:

To maintain safe driving conditions, the Department of Public Works will pre-treat priority bridges and routes. The City has a total of 30 spreaders and 40 snow plows ready for mobilization. With 700 tons of sand/gravel mix on hand, we will use spreaders to treat priority bridges and address any emergencies that may arise. Beginning early Tuesday morning, two 20 person crews will work 12-hour rotational shifts beginning at 7:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2014 - 7:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2014. The city also has access to emergency on-call contractors as needed.

There are 200 miles of priority route roadways including 40 bridges, six hospitals, and 16 Police Precincts inside the City of Atlanta.

200 miles… probably 800-1000 lane-miles easily. Forty plows.

Hmm. 1000/40… I can do that math. That’s one pass, one, every 24 hours.

Your citizens wouldn’t have gotten their asses stuck in traffic for ten hours if you hadn’t told them hilariously naive nonsense about your infrastructure’s ability to deal with the problem. Everyone would have stayed home, like they damned well should have.

What a joke.
