re: #124 teleskiguy
I’ve got the luxury of real wilderness close to my home. But I know I am the exception. I climbed my first mountain (Notch Mountain, 13,337 ft.) when I was seven years old, I have an affinity for wilderness. Maybe that’s why whenever a debate about wilderness and public lands comes up I vociferously defend wilderness and public land.
I was somewhat of a backpacker, cyclist, hiker back in the late 70s and early 80s. Wrote countless letters for wilderness areas. Roadless areas. Had stacks of EIRs.
