I first heard Never Mind the Bollocks back in late 1977 (or maybe early 1978) when the album was still fresh. An elementary school friend of mine had an older brother in the military stationed in the UK and he brought the album home with him.

So, one day I was over at Albert’s (that was my friend’s name) and he was like, “You gotta hear this! It’s like nothing you’ll hear on the radio!” And Albert was right. The opening track, “Holidays in the Sun”…yeah, that blew away eight-year-old me.

Sure was a lot different than the BeeGees, LOL.
