I would think the best example was Ramesses II.

His following Pharaohs would have harder and harder times controlling their courts, and fighting back against the Sea Peoples effectively crippled Egypt.

Punchline being that we don’t even know who the Sea Peoples are.

I prefer the name the Greeks gave Ramesses II, Ozymandias.

I was always told that the extremely long reign of Pepi II brought down the Old Kingdom. According to Wiki here, it might not be that cut and dried, but I think it’s arguable.
