I must admit, as a Canadian, I’ve always found the U.S. / Israel relationship rather vexing. I just don’t understand why some people feel the two countries need to be permanently joined at the hip on almost all things.

Don’t get me wrong, I support the Jewish people and the right of the state of Israel to exist, but that doesn’t mean that those of us in America should blindly support Israel no matter what it does.
