I may be wrong, but I always thought people who grew up with a normal attitude about firearms - that is, whether for hunting or target shooting or defense or work (LEO or military etc) it is a tool to be used with great respect and care because it is so dangerous - don’t see them as toys to be posed with or used for public cosplay. They use them for their proper purpose, not as a way to try to appear tough or menacing.

Shorter version - I don’t imagine there are too many photos around of your grandpa posing with a gun and grinning like a maniacal fucking moron.
