Iam confused about the Union thing. The teachers here in the government school system Turkey make no money but they dont have unions. Generally, the ones in the villages are taken care of by the families of their students. They make about $1500 a month if they are lucky. The ones in the private system fare a bit better. However, teachers are fired if too many students pass or too many students fail classes. Maybe that’s the standards that should be set in the US. Its embarrassing the products that the universities are crankingout lately. We actually had a girl at one of the crip courses where I used to work who didnt know that there used to be two Germanies and that the Air Force doesn’t have aircraft carriers. She also couldnt tell me the difference between a gerund and an adjective.
