Actually we’ve established the Brat is not an Ivy Leaguer. He merely went to a divinity school in Princeton that was called Princeton Divinity School but was per a spokesman unaffiliated with the famous university of the same name.

I didn’t say Brat was an Ivy Leaguer. I said Cruz was. The divinity school is the Princeton Theological Seminary, founded by Presbyterians way back when. They also founded Princeton University, but as you point out, the two institutions are not affiliated. They just merely adopted the name of the town they both settled in.

Princeton U was founded in 1746 in Elizabeth, NJ, as the College of New Jersey. Its first home was in Newark, but they moved the school to Princeton in 1754 and changed the name. PTS was founded in 1812.

The university never had formal affiliation to the Presbyterian Church. PTS obviously does.
