Trump pulled of a major stunt in being in the GOP but selling himself as not part of it, as being opposed to the Washington Establishment Elite, even Republicans.

He knew how much Middle America hated politicians and politics as usual and successfully marketed himself as the anti-politician, which allowed him to get away with gaffes and utterances that would have wrecked any other career politician’s campaign, if not their entire reputation.

I know man. I know. Yet he’s very much a typical politician in that he lies and their heads are so far up their and his asses that they refuse to see it.
