I do empathize with people that have chronic conditions that can’t afford their medications. It is easier to blame a person than a system that needs fixing.

My problem for the longest time was the medication that I needed didn’t exist.

The other problem patients run into are when doctors prescribe “the new hotness” brand drug when the generic is just fine.

As a result, I look at drug representatives that drop free samples off at doctors offices as a combination of used car salesmen/women and ambulance chasers.
