Might be true of Kristi Noem as well, who also apparently opposes anti-trans discrimination.

Don’t give Kristi Noem too much credit. She was all for the bill but got frightened when the NCAA said they’d move conference tournament games out of SD. She tried to have them change the bill so that it covered high school sports but not college sports but she couldn’t make that work (I think she ran out of time).
