Fringe is a good show, but it’s start to fall into the same hole that X-Files did, moving away from the “monster a week with overarching plot” and into the “long story arcs” that even Chris Carter was tired of towards the end. Not that the whole alternate universe idea is bad, but if they don’t drop it after this season, I might stop watching.

Hah. I watched X-Files religiously specifically for the long story arcs, and got really annoyed with the monster-of-the-week episodes. I gave up around about season 6, though.
