There is an anime titled The Secret of Kells which retells the mythology and was absolutely enchanting, if you’re into that sort of thing. I did a writeup on my geekblog here:

it’s probably wrong of me to label it “anime” in fact. I’d love to see more animation in this unique style. It’s actually on Netflix streaming so if you have an account, I highly recommend it.
