This is true, he has always been a shitstain. However, he’s a shitstain that’s tried to dabble in politics for over 30 years. It’s only now, when the GOP has fully dispensed with any sort of facade of respectability and anything other than endless power and naked spite, that he’s found true political purchase.

Nothing about Trump is unique compared to the Republican party as a whole. He just happens to not have a filter. That’s literally the only real difference.

There are a few other differences:
1. His absolute ignorance about everything. Ted Cruz is as much a liar but he does know things.
2. His loyalty to Putin. Any of the other 16 GOP candidates seem fond of the dictator?
3. His outright violation of the emoluments clause. I doubt any of the other GOP candidates would be lining their pockets.
