The Dem primaries won’t get that hot. You won’t see any bullshit about Benghazi or Warren’s ancestry. There is a reason that Clinton and Warrent shouldn’t team up on a ticket though. The Dems should use the VP slot on someone like Claire McCaskill, a Senator from a slightly competitive red state. Two blue state candidates don’t help to flip any enemy territory, and even though Obama and Biden have pulled it off twice it’s still not the best strategy on paper.

McCaskill and Duckworth would also make a good ticket. The Republicans would look like dogshit trying to tear Tammy down, and if they allow Cruz to run in the primary then any argument about Duckworth having been born in Thailand goes right out the window.

McCaskill wouldn’t be a good pick. She was an underdog last year until Todd Akin immolated himself on a political funeral pyre of Burning Stupid. She won by a wide margin, but that margin was really anti-Akin. There were quite a lot of Missourians who voted for Romney but also voted for McCaskill on grounds of political hygiene.
