I guess he bothers me because he comes part of the way - he has been consistently anti-Trump and deplores his party’s complicity in the corruption and incompetence. But then he stops. And remains mired in the worst parts of upper crust Conservatism.

That’s the frustrating thing: outside of a handful, most of those Never Trumpers, and a non-insignificant part of the lefter-than-thou folk too, are theoretically anti-Trump, but treat the Democrats and especially Hillary as the ‘real’ and far more pressing threat to them. They want to tear down the Dem party before even daring to try and hold Trump accountable.
