remember that story yesterday about the guy who ‘accidentally’ - actually negligently shot himself in the ‘genitals’?

apparently he doesn’t have a license to carry a handgun in Indiana.

and see- here’s the problem.
- carrying a handgun
- no licence to carry a handgun
- loses control of handgun, it discharges
- and actually hits someone (that it wasn’t someone else is not relevant) - (nor really is whether he hit someone or not - the endangerment to the rest of us is the same)

he has demonstrably proven he is not fit to possess a weapon

The idiot was carrying it in his waistband without a holster in condition zero, just doing everything wrong. On top of that the gun was a very cheap, single action only type without an exposed hammer (meaning no decocking safety to double action mode) and no secondary grip or trigger safety. Just an incredibly goddamned dangerous design. I was honestly shocked to learn that they’d passed California drop testing and were on the roster.
