There is an under current of racism in this country and we need the courage to face and discuss this issue

Well, there seems to be an undercurrent of racism, of greater or lesser extent, in pretty much every multicultural country. Look at European soccer fans, or the Korea-Japan relationship, or Australia, or the BNP, or wherever else. Distrusting ‘others’ makes good evolutionary sense, and it’s something we all have to fight. It’s not a uniquely American problem.
