If you get the hardwood floors, go for the Roomba too.

We have the floors. The dust is readily apparent.

It couldn’t be any worse than the pet hair in my carpet from the fluffy mutt and 3 cats. On the one section of hardwood we already have in the foyer, as well as on the kitchen vinyl floor, we have tumbleweeds if I let it go too long (i.e. more than a day). I think I would enjoy the bonus entertainment of cat vs. Roomba.
