I apologize if I was painting all DAs as Group B), it’s just that too many of the ones that seem to prosecute capital murder trials fall in that line. Obviously prosecuting murderers is a thankless job but at the same time, if you’re going to prosecute someone to the full extent of the law, there needs to be maximum effort to ensure the right guy is convicted.

Capital Murder cases are high-end cases for prosecutors, which means they tend to go to those who have moved two or three rungs up the ladder. And as we know, the the higher on any career ladder you go, the more you find people who are driven not by a desire to do a good job but by personal ambition.
