Vaccinations are helping, since most people over 60 in California are vaccinated.

What the anti-vaxxers don’t get: vaccinations don’t prevent a virus from landing on your nasal passages. What vaccines do is prep your immune system to fight the virus once you catch the virus.

And the reason that most vaccines seem to make you completely immune and stops all transmission is that when it lands in your system it’s attacked immediately during that time before the infection sticks or it starts replicating.

If the virus lands in sufficiently large quantity, or your immune response is starting to fade, then it wont be able to knock it down completely before it can start replicating.

Why this is rocket science to some people or a big conspiracy is beyond me.
