Anyone who’s sat on a jury in a criminal trial can see the majesty to this BS WaPo story. Even if its a total fabrication, there’s no way to really catch the other prisoner in a lie because he doesn’t say he saw Gray beating himself up, he just heard what he interpreted as Gray beating his head against the wall. So the defense now offers its own theory, saying that Gray actually injured himself while unsecured in the back. And so long as the jury can’t prove or disprove it, there’s reasonable doubt and these cops will go free or be convicted on a piddly lesser charge.
