Felix Randomkitty update Number Seven (a) - (b) will be later today.

Felix took a turn for the worse yesterday evening, his temperature dropping to 94F. The kitty hospital wrapped him in hot water bottles to keep him warm.

This morning the physician/veterinarian was in again to see another animal and weighed in on Felix. His blood sugar measurement was off the scale (literally, it could not be measured with their equipment).

The veterinarian called me, noting that Felix needs regular insulin (he has been using a variety that goes for fourteen hours or so). I authorised the clinic to buy regular insulin (which needs to be used every one or two hours).

They noted just now that his blood sugar is down to 425 (still way too high), and he has perked up again (he even chased a mouse, though he didn’t catch it).

We’re off to the clinic to see him, and bring along some of his favourite diabetic cat food (the food we purchased through LGF - they don’t sell it at the clinic) to see if he will eat for us.
