That whole thing yesterday, it was bizarre: The buildup, the satellite TV trucks, the breathless MSM coverage, then the letdown when there was no blood or dead bodies.
It was like some kind of new, extra fucked-up reality show—better than the scripted ones on TV because viewers might get to see real people bleed and/or die in real time. It was more than a little disturbing.
But the outcome is close to best-case. A decent group of the sane turned out, the cops did real cop things, and the nutjobs covered themselves in shit for all to see.
