Chick Hearn was the greatest sports announcer ever. He did a wonderful job of educating fans. He did so with humor and passion. He treated opposing team members with the utmost respect, and he passed that along to those who listened to him. Many of the phrases in use today in sports - not just the NBA - are attributed to Chick Hearn.

I miss Chick.
