So really, Manning lucked out you can say. 20 years. He’s already done 2 years thus making it possible for him getting time served making that 18 years. It’s gonna suck for him but he won’t die in prison. With 18 years he’ll get out when he’s 43.

It seems the possibility of the Bin Laden email may have motivated him to take the plea deal.
