A friend’s kid (15 years old) is all excited about UW-Madison, but with recent events directly affecting that school system, his very liberal mama is not so keen on the idea anymore. It’s a shame what’s happening to that state, and I feel sorry for my co-workers who live across the river.

Most of my coworkers who work in MN but live in WI moved there because they didn’t want to pay MN taxes, so my sympathy for them is a bit limited. If they were doing the same job in WI that they have in MN, they would have lost their union protections and benefits.
