TBH, the Dems have a much bigger tent than the Republicans do. There’s no one as liberal in the GOP as Manchin is conservative.

That’s the galling thing, though, isn’t it? The GOP has spent the last 30 years concentrating the crazy, shedding the liberal Northeastern ‘Javits’ type Republican, and now they seem to want to shed the Country Club Republicans. They’ve grown more extreme by leaps and bounds, but the media and low-information voters who only think in terms of symmetrical polarization will still elect Republicans for balance.
