Oh, and the Russia bots are certainly getting agitated because all these connections are coming out. They can’t stand being exposed to daylight.

I’m honestly beginning to wonder if the GOP could bring itself to do anything if those transcripts became public. They just had it revealed that their new AG (which they all voted for) committed perjury to lie about talks with the Russian ambassador, and the most they could find it in themselves to do was call for him to recuse himself and “clarify” his testimony. One or two have called for a special prosecutor, but the leadership is camped on the “It’s bad, but not that bad” line.

So if these transcripts came out tomorrow and showed that there was active collusion between their newly-minted president and a foreign government to swing the election, what would they do? Personal opinion? They’d call for an investigation, perhaps a special prosecutor, but only for one purpose: delaying tactic. Try to drag it out for months or years in the hopes that people will have forgotten or that the political damage of removing him from office won’t negatively impact the mid-terms. The idea that they’d rush to impeach anyone involved in this administration is rather fanciful under the present circumstances.
