I’m a conservative.
I’m in favor of conservation efforts.
And while I like my pocket to be lined, it is not at the expense of poor people.

Interesting that studies show that, for whatever reason, conservatives charitable donations outpace that of liberals.

Propensity to donate has more to do with life-cycle than income or political stance. Donors are typically 65+ years old, therefore the political party that contains a higher number of older people will contain more donors and give more money to charity. Actually the best donors are 65+ year old women…
