This isn’t a new story, at least as it pertains to the 2022 World Cup. As a soccer fan, it’s painful because I love the spectacle of the World Cup. Unfortunately, FIFA is pretty much unrivaled when it comes to corruption, and I have zero doubt that the 2018 and 2022 bidding was rigged. And this is the result.
