Have you thought about harvesting some to keep the population down? A High powered air rifle would be cheap, effective and safe.

I have been shooting BBs at them. They just jump when you hit them and hop a few feet. Chasing them away doesn’t help either. They are all over in the mornings and evenings. My dogs like to chase the cat but have no interest in rabbits. If the fencing doesn’t keep them out I will have to get a .22 rifle and shoot the fuckers.
