But this does bring up a serious issue: It seems being single disqualifies one for being President.

Yeah, way back when, we had a batchelor President, but in the 20th century that hasn’t happened.

It is interesting to think about. I can’t think of too many successful single politicians or really that many divorcees. Reagan comes to mind with the latter but he had been divorced for nearly 30 years when he ran for president.
