I don’t know that this response is not the wisest. anything he would say would be picked up and skewed one way or another. He is being consistent in staying out of the debates - all of them. As an ex-president should.

By the way, he and Laura were on TV the other night with the new TX Rangers owners. He looked really old, Laura looked great.

Being president ages the hell out of you. I can see it happening to Obama already. Even guys who’ve had long political careers, you really see them get visibly older.

One of the reasons I was a tad worried about McCain (in terms of concern for him, rather his fitness as a politician). He’s already been clobbered hard in his life. I didn’t want to see what the Presidency was going to do to him.
