It was a perfectly reasonable assumption. It was wrong but Islamic groups were already trying to take credit for it and had previously promised similar attacks. You’re sorely mistaken if you think this incident somehow mitigates the threat of Islamic terrorism.

I have no illusions about Islamic extremism around the world. It’s there, it’s nasty, and it’s becoming more prevalent globally. I think the world, however, is developing the illusion that Bombings=Muslims.
