Srsly, that’s pretty lame. Do you take any $ from oil companies? I’m pretty sure I don’t, I sure give them a lot though.

Do you have a pension fund with money in the stock market? Does any of your family or friends? Can you be sure your employer has never had any ties to big oil? That is what “either directly or indirectly” means.

And yes, I have a lot of investment in Alberta Energy companies. It has nothing to do with my feelings on AGW. I just think it is a good investment.
