again, Brexit was not a binding referendum, it was a request for Parliament to implement Article 50.

Of course, if they back out, there will not be enough eggs in England to cover the faces of the MPs who supported it…

If they backed out and revoked Article 50, it would also mean the Tories cast into the political wilderness for a decade or so. I could easily see the Tories splitting into two separate political parties; the Brexiteers either leaving and forming their own party (or perhaps defecting to UKIP or whatnot, which itself was created by former Tory members unhappy with the generally pro-EU stance of their party in the 1990’s) and the rest coalescing around some sort of soft-Euroskeptic (but in the EU) position.

A revocation of Article 50 would affect Labour as well, but I’d venture not as dramatically.
