If it’s like the Medicaid expansion passed by referendum in Nebraska, they’ll do the same thing as our Republicans. “Okay, so the referendum passed. Now we won’t pass the enabling legislation to enact it.”

Such referenda only demand the state enact legislation to make it happen. Now get Republican legislatures to do it.

The solution is to get rid of the Republican legislators. The problem is the GOP is extremely good at ginning up culture wars to get their voters out so that doesn’t happen, coupled with change scaring the bejesus out of a conservative voter.
