Boy, I can’t wait for the Feds to waste more of our damn $ on this loser. This whole thing is ridiculous. They couldn’t find anything on him for the other 23 counts so what do they want to do? Have another trial! Ugh.

I honestly hope he gets off with the appeal. He’s no saint, but at this point, the Feds are far, far worse.

The justice system is expensive, true. That’s not a valid argument for dismissing charges, however.

A mistrial on 23/24 counts means a retrial. That’s how it works. Blago deserves his day in court. By that I mean, he deserves either an acquittal or a conviction. We don’t just let people go in the US because the jury couldn’t decide. That would be a very bad way to run a justice system.

It’s not that they “couldn’t find anything” on him. They found plenty. The jury just couldn’t reach a verdict. Not the same thing.

A retrial is exactly the appropriate thing under these circumstances.
