Well, I don’t hate her and think she’s mostly just a benign figurehead, but a monarchy is a monarchy and fucks with real democracy. I think Charles will be up for it, urged on by the ambitious Camilla, but how many commoners will be? The younger princes appear to just be doing their “duty” but not quite sure if their hearts would be in it for such an anachronism in the modern age.

I expect that Elizabeth will hang on as long as she can and then pass the crown to her grandson rather than subject Britain to King Charles and Queen Camilla.
