Well Arizona does have a reputation to uphold, can’t have all of the crazy ass legislation being done exclusively in the South y’know….

It was a territory that seceded with the CSA though. Arizona from what I understand had some of the worst Jim Crow laws outside the South before the Civil Rights era.
