These guys have handled this whole thing horribly since the 1st news of a problem:

Blue Bell is and has always been awesome with an incredibly loyal and understanding fan base but they have really screwed the pooch. Degrees are offered in PR and these guys have really harmed a great brand due to ignorance/

It’s a small, family-owned company in Brenham, Texas. Famously, the home of happy cows (adverts). And “We sell all we can and eat the rest,” (advert)

They expanded faster than they could control. The Oklahoma plant had a Listeria infection and they didn’t get in there and chlorine fumigate the plant to kill the problem early. Now they are paying the price. Pity. Good people, really. They just got ahead of their own managerial span of control.

And people croaked and the responsibility is in their laps.

Sucks to be Blue Bell right now.
