Looks like a scam in that case. The guy teaching the class wasn’t licenced to teach it in Texas. He claimed the NRA licensed him, but the article hadn’t gotten confirmation of that.

Peterson technically wasn’t /during/ class. It was going to start soon and he was showing a pistol to his wife.

With the exception of Peterson I’m skipping cases where instructors/students shot themselves or others but not during class.

But you’re doing a nice job of trying to strain gnats. “Never” does not apply. One case should have been sufficient. That I found some within the past few months - not just year - should make the point clearer.
