In general I can tell you from running events that the room access control reverts to the renter for the duration of the event, as does much of the liability. From where we sit, no telling what the contract said. The contract would specify all that.

I don’t see the controversy

Reporter states “it’s a public place (unintelligible)”
Cop,, “It’s actually a private, uh, they rented the,,,”
Reporter “they rented the entire school building?”
Cop ,”Apparently they did”

The whole thing could/ should have been handled better, but Hopfinger stated himself that he pushed someone away.
