This does back up the Israeli account that they were trying to cut through the fence, notice the damaged barbed wired. Not just young men but plenty of children in that crowd too.

Even if firing, the Israelis showed restraint, firing only enough to drive off those close to them. And they did have to shoot, don’t doubt that. Had they not done so, the crowd would have kidnapped them or killed them.
