OK, now that you’ve had your rant, I invite you to make a constructive suggestion to the problem of how to turn around failing companies. You cannot suggest something that gives government an increased role.

Well, the standard thing to do is to sell off the unprofitable parts— but the corporate raider style investors tend to sell off the profitable parts, while acquiring debt.

So, have investors with a long-term, rather than short-term, view.

Which are rare, these days.
