The calibration adjustments take place on the fly, in the video card. The numbers are there as an objective guide, in case your calibration sucks or you did it in your darkened room at night and now it’s fucking high noon in middle of Death Valley or you just hit your head really hard or assorted shit like that. So, again pro tip, when you arrogantly inform a bunch of people who do this stuff for a living that they need to “calibrate their monitors” to get the “right numbers,” that isn’t going to end well.
