One thing I noticed over the weekend is that Donald Trump is starting to openly call Bernie Sanders a communist. I cannot help but believe that this is a calculated move to provide another dog-whistle for his white supremacist fans.
Given the conspiracy belief put forward by groups that Jewish people were the founders of communism and fostered its rise in the Soviet Union, I’m pretty convinced this is a thinly veiled anti-Semitic attack toward Sanders - one that Trump can feign deniability toward, but that his neo-Nazi fans are already furiously repeating in social media.
