That’s fucked up. I had a CDL (which I relinquished this last time) and the only thing extra I needed in WI was a certified birth certificate which is capped at $25. So while a a new DL cost me about $100 with that, I could have gotten an otherwise free ID with that birth certificate.

We just need to get a real national ID and be done with and FU to any fundies that freak out. They can all just go to Coventry…

I have my original certified birth certificate in a fireproof box. I don’t want to ever have to pay for one. This is the original one my parents got when I was born and it is looking really haggard…kind of like me.
