Live music can be quite different than even a recording of the same event.

Many people have never heard live bands or orchestras.

Still, there is an audience, live, for those Bach musicians. Not during the pandemic, but otherwise.

When I want to feel depressed I remember our town in Italy—100K, a World Heritage Site. Most weekends we had to decide which church’s Fri or Sun concert to attend—sometimes a conflicting tradeoff was difficult. Or we could just walk to the XVI Cent villa owned by the ‘suburban’ commune and see what they were doing.
